Following the 1357 mile run from London-Rome , it has taken some time for my body to recover . I am now concentrating my efforts on training other people and am also available as a motivational speaker . My style of training is collaborative and supportive , helping people to achieve their goals through encouragement , enthusiasm and motivation . At school I was the slowest runner in my class , so I have experienced the journey from no hoper to international status . I know and understand the huge role that the mind and the right attitude play in sporting success. I estimate that my run to Rome was based on approximately 15% athletic ability and 85% mental ability . I have trained people who have now completed marathons , having told me that they either hated running or couldn’t run . Low self-esteem is the root cause from which so many of us fail to achieve our dreams . Having struggled with appallingly low self-esteem and shyness, I have since developed successfully as a teacher , personal trainer, international standard athlete and speaker . By confronting our fears and maintaining a positive energy , we all possess the capability to enrich our lives .

Recent testimonial :-
I did my first triathlon at Tatton Park in September, having trained with Dave
Clamp (who also helped me to lose nearly 2 stone). I am so lucky because Dave is
a super triathlete – he has just completed the Deca Ironman world championships
in second place in 239 hrs 04 mins and 56 secs. He has a very motivating style
with a gentle nature, which works for me and all his clients, as well as
supporting people with issues and injuries – see the Parkinsons support on his
website! I really do feel privileged to be one of his clients, and can also
recommend his motivational talks to groups and businesses.
