oner route We ran from 12pm until 3.30am . The weather was fantastic during the day ( blue skies and gentle breeze) but it got really cold in the night. I was wearing 6 layers for the last few hours. The course is very tough and involves constant climbs and rough terrain, including a 2 mile stretch along a pebbled beach where it was virtually impossible to run. Navigation in the dark on Portland Island proved extremely difficult, but it was a great adventure. Hopefully we will return in the near future to complete the full distance.
